OTHER GOOD THINGS TO KNOW
Q: Do you only shoot weddings?
A: No! I can shoot anything. I love product and stylized shoots the most. But my ability to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera makes me a great wedding and family photographer.
Q: Can we keep all of our photos?
A: Yes. You will receive a flash drive or digital download containing all of the high-res photographs and you will be granted full usage rights from the photographer. This means you may do with them as you please at no additional cost. You can print them, post them to the photo-sharing websites and email them to family and friends. Kimberlee Miller Photography retains the copyright on all photographs.
Q: What is your photography style?
A: I shoot primarily photojournalism and lifestyle photography – candid, un-posed moments capturing the flow of events and details of your wedding day. I also shoot in a more traditional style of wedding photography for group and portrait photos. Most couples want a combination of both styles. I will guide and offer creative ideas and suggestions as we plan your wedding photography and throughout your wedding day, but never be obtrusive.
Q: How many photographs will you take?
A: Every session includes unlimited photographs, generally 80-100 photographs per/hour of coverage.
Q: What if I want a second photographer at my wedding?
A: I am trained to shoot alone, but may suggest an assistant if you have a large wedding party or family. If you would like to request an assistant, the fee is $100/hour.
Q: Are the photographs touched-up?
A: The photographs are edited, finished photographs, not unedited proofs directly off my camera. I review every photograph making adjustments as needed. Each image is post-processed, color-corrected and polished using the latest professional software. Any trouble-spots or flaws you wish to be removed can be done upon request and are typically removed anyway if they are obvious.
Q: How soon will I see my photos and get the flash drive?
A: Images are posted online within 3 months from the event. But know, I edit as fast as I can and it can be a little earlier or a little later depending on how busy I am.
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: I use professional Canon digital cameras, Canon professional speed lights and Canon lenses.
Q: Is a deposit required to hold my wedding date?
A: Yes. A retainer of 30% of your package price is required to hold your wedding date. The retainer amount applies toward your final contracted fee. The retainer amount is non-refundable. I can accept payment in cash, check, Visa, MasterCard or American Express. A fee may apply to credit card payments.
Q: When is my final payment due?
A: Your final payment is due 2 weeks prior to your event wedding day.
Q: Are your wedding packages flexible?
A: Yes. My goal is to help you find a wedding package that fits your needs and budget. Please call me if you have questions about my wedding photography packages/services or don't see what you're looking for.
Q: When is it best to schedule our engagement portrait?
A: Anytime within the year to your wedding. Some couples need photos for their save-the-dates while others only want them done right before the wedding. Most of my clients choose to use the photos in a guest sign-in book that I provide on all of my engagement packages. In that case, the session would need to be shot no later than a month before the wedding. Most sessions are shot outside, so please leave wiggle room for cancellations due to poor weather. I am always looking for suggestions on location, so please feel free to keep your eyes open for something fun and funky! I almost always shoot engagements session in the last hour of sunlight of the day. It is suggest to choose locations that are not over crowded or may require expensive permits.
Q: What happens if it rains on my wedding day?
A: We will develop an alternative plan in case of rain when we meet prior to your wedding day to plan your wedding photography. But, usually we just bring umbrellas and make it fun!
Q: Do you photograph out-of-town weddings?
A: Yes. I am available for travel worldwide.
